Civic, non-profit, and caring groups of citizens are encouraged to get involved in the citywide clean up on Saturday, April 20th. The City of Maysville will supply trash bags and rubber gloves for street-by-street litter pick-up. If you are interested, please plan on meeting at the IGA parking lot, near the Forest Avenue Police Station at 9 a.m. that day. The City will provide gloves and garbage bags. In addition, dumpsters will placed at Pelham/East 6th streets, the IGA parking lot, Central/East 6th streets, City Hall, Old Main Street in Old Washington between North and South Court Street, Wall/MacDonald Parkway, Public Works on Martha Comer Drive, under the Simon Kenton Bridge on East 2nd Street, and 400/500 block of West 2nd Street. Dumpsters will be at these locations from Friday, April 19 until Monday, April 29. No hazardous material is permitted in the dumpsters.
Residential tire drop-off will be at Union Street and Public Works.
Starting on Friday, April 19th and going through Monday, April 29th, the City of Maysville will have numerous opportunities for CITY RESIDENTS to clean up their property. Drop-off of residential items will be aided on the following days and places:
- Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday, April 22-23, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., a staffed garbage packer will be at IGA parking lot near the new police station and a barricaded area will be available for larger items.
- Wednesday through Friday, April 24-26, 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., a garbage packer and barricaded area for larger items will be set up at parking lot at McDonald Parkway and Wall Street.
- Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. and Monday, April 29, 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., a garbage packer and barricaded area will be set up at Public Works on Martha Comer Drive.
