Albert Sidney Johnston Museum is the childhood home of Civil War Confederate General Albert Sidney Johnston.
His death at the Battle of Shiloh on April 6, 1862 was said to be a military turning point of the war.
The family of Union General William ‘Bull’ Nelson resided here after the death of Johnston’s father. Both men attended West Point and would fight at the Battle of Shiloh.
