Maysville Board of Commissioners has two special meetings in the coming week.
The Board of Commissioners will meet in joint session with Mason County Fiscal Court to discuss and vote on intergovernmental agreements including those covering the landfill, recreation park, communications, airport board, riverport authority, planning commission, building codes, industrial development, ambulance service, and disaster emergency services.
That meeting will take place at 5:30p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 in the Mason County Fiscal Court Chamber, 221 Stanley Reed Court.
The Board of Commissioners will also meet the following evening to consider a resolution to authorizing the Mayor to sign contracts to accept a Certified Local Government grant of $9,000. The City would be responsible for $6,000 in matching funds. The grant would allow the National District Register to extend down both sides of West Second Street to Germantown Road and include the Old Pogue Distillery.
The Board of Commissioners will also address the following agenda items:
- Appointment: Fire Officer
- Resolution awarding bid for demolition of 217, 219, and 221 West Second Street, 16-38
- Budget Workshop
This meeting will take place at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at the Maysville Municipal Building, City Commission Chamber, 216 Bridge Street.
