The Old Pogue Experience
Learn about the history of Kentucky’s signature drink — right back to its beginnings on the Landing at Limestone.
Located in the historic Limestone Building at the corner of West Second and Sutton streets, The Old Pogue Experience is a newly opened exhibit adjacent to Kentucky Gateway Museum Center. Here you will not only learn about the early history of bourbon and its place in the building of the community, but you’ll have the opportunity to sample a spirit produced by one of the Commonwealth’s oldest distilleries.
Bourbon is a unique combination of native waters filtered through limestone hills, freshly charred oak barrels, quality corn, patience and skill. Discover why Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey is revered the world over.
Exhibit hours 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tickets to the bourbon history exhibits may be purchased in the main KYGMC Atrium at 215 Sutton Street, Maysville. For additional information call 606-564-5865 or visit www.kygmc.org.
