Maysville Floodwall Mural Project

Where history becomes art ... The Maysville Floodwall Mural Project began in the summer of 1998. The early river history of Maysville has been created on the floodwall through murals painted by Dafford Murals.
The ten murals, beginning at the entrance to Limestone Landing and along the floodwall in downtown Maysville, visually demonstrate the historical connection of the Ohio River to Maysville. The murals next to Limestone Landing fountain chronologically illustrate four centuries of history and represent the four seasons. The murals at Market and Sutton streets incorporate the area's social and agricultural heritage.
The panels inform as well as entertain, capturing details of dress, architecture, transportation and other facts from the periods depicted.
Located along McDonald Parkway in downtown Maysville, the murals are open year-round. Free Admission.
