The federal government has announced a 90-day extension for Americans to file their income taxes, and in coordination with that extension, the City of Maysville will also extend its Gross Receipts License Fee filing until July 15, 2020.
The gross receipts license fee is filed by all entities doing business within the city each year, and those businesses receive a one year license upon full payment. Current licenses are due to expire on April 30, 2020. However, due to the filing extension, businesses holding a current (purple) license will be able to operate under it until the filing deadline in July.
This extension does not apply to quarterly payroll or insurance filings, transient room tax or any other taxes or fees.
