The City of Maysville announced yesterday, May 5th, via a Facebook live event, that a new program aimed at assisting local small businesses struggling from the COVID-19 Pandemic has been established. The subsequent orders from the governor’s office to shut down have left many businesses struggling, and the City wants to try and help. The Maysville Small Business Assistance Program will offer small, non-franchised businesses within city limits $1000 forgivable loans to be utilized for rent, mortgage and/or utility expenses incurred during the pandemic. The loans are targeted to businesses with 2 to 15 employees. Please read the guidelines prior to filling out an application to make sure your business qualifies.
