Phone service has been restored in downtown Maysville. Emergency 911 and non-emergency calls are once again being routed to Maysville Communications Center for Maysville Police and Fire/EMS departments as well as the Mason County Sheriff’s Department and volunteer fire departments.
AT&T restored phone service at approximately 3 p.m. after being out for about 12 hours. The phone outage also effected City Hall as well as many residences and businesses.
During the phone outage, Morehead Post 8 of Kentucky State Police received area 911 as well as non-emergency calls for service for the Maysville Police Department and relaying the request to appropriate services via cellular service.
Maysville Police Department, Mason County Sheriff’s Department, Maysville Fire/EMS, and Mason County volunteer fire departments continued to respond to calls for service in a timely manner during the outage.
