Maysville Resident Sought to Serve on Board of Architectural Review

There is an opening on the City of Maysville Board of Architectural Review. The Board of Architectural Review shall be responsible for historical designations, certification of exterior changes to designated historical properties and other functions concerning historical preservation within the city limits.

The Board of Architectural Review makes recommendations to the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Board of Building and Housing Appeals, Vacant Property Review Commission and the Board of Commissioners on all matters relating to the preservation, conservation and enhancement of structures, premises and areas of substantial historic or architectural significance and matters relating to the establishment of historic districts and landmarks and regulations to be enforced thereunder. The Boards of Architectural Review inspects and recommends the designation of those structures, premises and areas in the city which it considers to have substantial historic or architectural significance.

The  Board of Architectural Review meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. when there is business to attend to.

The by-laws of the Board of Architectural Review prohibit real estate agents or brokers, practicing attorneys, or bank employees from serving on the board.
